Dr. Katie Meixner leads the Machine Perception Section of the Tactical Intelligence Systems Group at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Dr. Meixner is an impact-driven engineer, passionate about finding practical solutions to urgent tactical problems. Over the past 10 years, she has designed, applied, and evaluated AI/ML and data science solutions for national security and defense.
In 2019, the White House awarded Dr. Meixner the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers for her innovative work at the National Security Agency. She holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, and a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Central Florida.
