Leading Data and AI-enabled Organizations: For Executive Leaders

Confident businessman pointing at coded data on computer screen while explaining it to female colleague at meetingAs AI permeates every aspect of society, leaders are faced with deciding how to effectively harness the potential value of AI technology. “Leading Data and AI-Enabled Organizations: For Executive Leaders” unpacks this question and provides a comprehensive approach to beneficially adopt AI technology and minimize the risk of experiencing the technology valley of death.

This workshop introduces the 6-D framework for an end-to-end perspective on AI technology design and deployment. The 6-D framework takes a holistic view of creating AI-enabled systems from the initial concept through design and deployment.

Technology Innovation

Many innovation efforts fail to reach their objectives, not because of technology, but because they don’t address important and valuable problems.

This workshop introduces the Whiting School of Engineering’s structured innovation process to discover valuable problems—particularly those that may disrupt an industry or business model in the future.

Technology Trends and Disruptors

Is your business about to be disrupted by revolutionary new technologies or disruptive business models?

This workshop draws on the subject matter expertise of Whiting School of Engineering faculty to identify, explain, and prioritize emerging tech trends, their implications, and why they may be relevant to your organization, your competitive position, or your overall strategy.

Communications for Technologists

Technologists are great at coming up with new solutions but often struggle to communicate them to non-technical audiences.

This workshop helps technologists and tech managers to more effectively communicate complex concepts, and to better market them to non-technical audiences. It draws on WSE faculty experienced in teaching communications for engineers, scientists, and tech executives.

Advanced Graph Analysis and Applications

Participants in this program will engage in a variety of interactive exercises to get hands-on experience in the process of transforming graph-based data into insight for making better decisions.

The workshop consists of expert practitioners leading the participants through the practical application of advanced graph analysis visualization and analysis scenarios. It will explore core and emerging techniques and applications for network analysis, including centrality analysis, community detection, connectivity analysis, path analysis, link prediction, and scalable approaches. These topics will be explored in the context of real application areas such as precision medicine, neuroscience, resource allocation, cyber security, and anomaly detection.

Cybersecurity for Decision Makers
